Who We Are

First, we are a crew of people that surf the web trying to find good deals just like you. Second, we're a group of entrepreneurs who have built numerous transaction processing, accounting, and affiliate websites in our day and strongly believe the social buying realm needs reform. After making grand gestures to tell our friends about hot daily deals, we watched certain nameless group buying sites turn into giant, behemoth, ship destroying icebergs. We decided there had to be a better way to build the bridge between merchant and savvy shopper. But how could we even the playing field?

We brainstormed for years at sea, trying to figure out how we could make the experience of group buying better for the community. First we asked ourselves, who is the community? It's merchants, your friends, your mates, your date, the people in your closet. It's everyone. If people had the ability to share with everyone and profit off of it, that would make it social. Besides actually being social, what else was missing? The money. There was no money to be made by me or you. All we got was a small one time bonus for our troubles and that bonus always had restrictions (credit for their site). We brought the masses to these sites, completely for free without even realizing what we had done. Why should we do all the work and not get rewarded? This wrong needed rightin'. Thus evolved Sword, in late 2010, ready to throw a lifesaver out to the social buyin' community!

When you think of Sword, the first thing we want to pop into your head besides pirates and samurais is that we are not just about social buying, we are about social earning! We want to help you pay for your gas, your college tuition, even your mortgage! That's how strongly we believe in our system and the power of our community.
