The Sword Basics
We want to give you an understanding of how Sword.com can help you make money by
spreading the word about our site and great deals! We do this through an affiliate/referral
system. At Sword.com, we ask you to "spread the word" to your friends
and colleagues and therefore, act as an affiliate of our site and business. Our
core system is to credit our users (YOU) for getting people to join the Sword.com
Community. We then continue to reward YOU and your friends as your referred members
purchase our great Daily Deals. We call your referred friends members of your Crew,
and as your friends build their crews, your Crew continues to grow.
Building a Crew
Sword.com is an affiliate system based around YOU referring your friends. And YOU
will be rewarded for all your hard work. It's the ultimate in pay for performance.
We pay commissions down to 4 levels of crew members, and our commission model has
been created to pay the largest commission to the level (tier 4) where you will
most likely have the most crew members, and thus, the highest earning capability.
Crew members consist of people that you have referred to the site and have successfully
completed the registration process. Once a part of Sword, these members you referred
are also allowed to begin building a crew.
How do Internet Affiliate Systems Work?
The key to any Internet Affiliate Marketing System rewarding you or crediting you
for your effort is the "passing" of your Affiliate ID into the Marketing
System. This ID allows Sword.Com to know where the referred person is coming from
and attach that person to the proper members' crew. Because not everyone knows how
to "pass" their Affiliate ID into our system, and because we know everyone
is not an expert marketer, Sword.Com has built-in Tools that you can utilize which
automatically embed your Affiliate ID so that we can ensure we reward YOU properly.
We strongly recommend utilizing Sword.com tools and our step-by-step procedures
if you are new to Internet "refer a friend" marketing.
By using our tools already made for sharing, we have created a simple way for you
to tell all your friends about us. When using these tools we embed a specific code
in the URL or banner that allows us to know that you specifically referred someone
to us. This code is YOUR AFFILIATE ID. All promotional tools that can be created
or used contain this same embedded code that allows us to match a user to your account
after someone clicks on a link. This code is unique to only you and allows us to
properly place them in your crew and assures that you receive full credit for anything
they buy.
Tools for Spreading the Word
One of the unique tools that we have created is the ability to create your own brand
for sharing purposes. This includes a Vanity URL nickname and personalized message
to appear on the page your friends will see when they click any link you've shared.
As mentioned above, your Affiliate ID allows us to properly credit you for your
marketing efforts. After you create a nickname, it will replace your Affiliate ID,
no longer showing your link as number, but an actual person. For example, sword.com/linda
could be someone's Vanity URL. A nickname combined with a personalized message creates
a custom experience for you and your friends visiting Sword from a link you shared.
Additional tools allow you to use several social networks to spread the word and
email friends without leaving our site.
Campaigns
A campaign is a marketing approach that a user can take to promote a service or
product. They are also an extremely useful tool for zeroing in on your most productive
method of promotion. The success of your sharing and spreading the word, while using
our tools, will be tracked under the campaign entitled "Default" located
on the reporting page. This page tells you how many Tier 1 members you have successfully
referred in a campaign and the number of referrals these members have also created
under them. We track these referral details down to 4 tiers for you. In addition,
this report shows the money that a crew from a campaign has generated.
While we have created a default campaign for the tools that are available on our
site, you can also create a campaign that serves a specific purpose or need (i.e.
My Blog, Google Adwords, etc.). One way is by using the link generated from making
your own campaign; these users will specifically be tracked under this campaign
heading (instead of the Default) because the link contains an embedded code specific
to that campaign. The link must be spread via your own methods to track the proper
information for any individually made campaigns.
Banners are available to users that have the capability to place them strategically
on the web and monetize traffic that they currently have coming to their web pages.
These banners also contain an embedded code that allows us to track the user that
placed the banner. A specific campaign can also be created to track the success
of the location and placement of the banner.
